Transponder Keys
Transponder keys are a key with a chip in the head, the chip is energized by the coil on the ignition or slot when you insert the key or the proximity key which provides a small charge at a specific frequency, if the frequency matches the car starts if not the car won't turn over. Using Advanced Diagnostics Smart pro we can program the keys and remotes to the car via the cars OBD. Smart Pro is a state of the art programmer using software that is back engineered to the cars ensuring that the keys work without causing the damage some cheaper alternative programmers can do the the cars software.
Remotes
As we program the keys/remotes via the OBD in the car most cars the remote is programmed at the same time as the key others require the remote to be programmed in separately to the transponder, this is where Smart pro from advanced diagnostics comes into it's own which is why we chose this programmer to program our keys to the cars.
Ordering your car or Motorcycle keys
In order to help us to cut your car or motorcycle key we require the make model and year of manufacture. Using this information we are able to either cut your new key from stock or order in the key transponder remote proximity remotes or motorcycle keys as required in order to fulfill your order.
Cloning car and motorcycle keys
It is possible to clone a wide range of older cars keys, and is the normal method for motorcycle keys old and new from the original car key in combination with the ignition of the car using a portable key cloning device. Cloning the car/motorcycle key works by taking the information from the original car/motorcycle key and then the car/motorcycle ignition in effect the car or motorcycle immobiliser then thinks the cloned copy key is the original. Key cloning is the normal method for motorcycle keys old and new where as for the more modern cars the keys need to be programmed via the OBD.
